Manufactured from premium Indonesian coconut shells, PSD-A0 S is first steam-activated to achieve ≥1000 mg/g iodine value, then treated with controlled acid leaching to dissolve and remove inherent mineral ash and metallic residues from the carbon matrix. A final DI water rinse brings the product to a neutral pH 5–8 range.
This purification process reduces total ash to below 3% and dramatically lowers leachable iron, copper, zinc and other metal ions — a critical requirement for semiconductor ultrapure water systems where even ppb-level metal contamination can reduce wafer yield.
