AE
purestar
The AE type employs a proprietary impregnation process depositing alkaline compounds (NaOH, KOH derivatives) throughout the carbon pore structure. This creates a reactive surface that chemisorbs acid gases while physical adsorption handles organic vapors—essential for mixed-contaminant environments.
Impregnation Chemistry:
Base: High-iodine coconut shell activated carbon (>1000 mg/g)
Impregnant: Alkaline hydroxide solution (10-15% loading)
Activation: Controlled thermal treatment to stabilize reactive sites
Quality Control: Protection time testing per GB 2890-2009
Reaction Mechanism:
Acid gases (HCl, SO₂, H₂S, HF) undergo acid-base neutralization within the carbon pore structure, forming stable salts. Organic vapors adsorb via van der Waals forces in the micropore network.

Technical Advantages
Targeted Contaminant Removal & Enhanced Chemical Reactivity
Our specialty impregnated activated carbons combine premium coconut shell or coal substrates with precisely loaded active agents (silver, copper, zinc, or proprietary catalysts) for selective pollutant capture.
Silver-impregnated variants (PSD-Ag+) deliver >99% bacteria inactivation for drinking water safety, while sulfur-impregnated grades (SRC-A/SRC-E) achieve >98% mercury and heavy metal removal.
The ABEK-type comprehensive protection carbon provides multi-gas defense against organic vapors, acid gases, ammonia, and formaldehyde for industrial respirators and nuclear facility protection. Custom impregnation available for specific contaminant challenges including H₂S, SO₂, NOx, and radioactive iodine removal.

Q1: How does impregnated carbon differ from standard activated carbon?
A: Standard carbon relies on physical adsorption only. AE-type impregnation adds chemical reactivity—alkaline sites neutralize acid gases (HCl, SO₂) that weakly adsorb on standard carbon, providing protection where physical adsorption fails.
Q2: Can AE carbon be regenerated after saturation?
A: No—chemical impregnants are consumed during acid gas neutralization. Once breakthrough occurs, replace with fresh carbon. Standard organic-saturated carbon can be thermally regenerated, but impregnated carbon requires disposal per local hazardous waste regulations.
Q3: Can you provide samples before bulk order?
A: Yes, samples can be given to you. Please contact us for details. Once we charge you the sample fee, please rest assured that this will be a refund when you place a formal order.
Q4: What is your minimum order quantity (MOQ)?
A: MOQ depends on product type. Please contact us for detailed information.
Q5: How long is the delivery time?
A: Normally 15-30 working days depending on order quantity and production schedule.
Q6: How to confirm payment?
A: We accept T/T ,L/C, and other payment methods are also acceptable. Please contact us before you make payment through other payment methods. In addition, a deposit of 30-50% is feasible, and the balance shall be paid before shipment.
