SRC-A is made from premium bituminous coal formed into 4mm columnar pellets. After steam activation, the carbon is impregnated with special chemicals to create reactive sites. These sites convert H₂S and mercaptans into stable, non-volatile compounds that are permanently trapped in the carbon.
