PL-380/480
purestar
PL-380/PL-480 pelletized activated carbon adopts high-quality bituminous coal as raw material, through precision extrusion molding and deep high-temperature activation to form a highly developed porous structure, with CTC adsorption value up to more than 80%.
It has large adsorption capacity for benzene, esters, ketones, alcohols and other organic solvents, and maintains excellent mechanical strength and stable desorption performance, suitable for fixed-bed adsorption-desorption circulation systems. Available in 3mm (PL-380) and 4mm (PL-480) diameters, they are widely used in chemical, printing, coating and other industries for solvent recovery, oil vapor recovery and organic waste gas purification.

High Adsorption Capacity
Large organic solvent loading capacity, long single adsorption cycle, high recovery efficiency for common industrial solvents.
Excellent Desorption Regeneration Performance
Stable pore structure, suitable for steam desorption and thermal desorption processes, high recovery rate after regeneration.
High Mechanical Strength
Resistant to friction and extrusion during frequent adsorption-desorption cycles, low pulverization rate and long service life.
Standard Pellet Size Options
3mm (PL-380) and 4mm (PL-480) specifications, matching different adsorption tower design parameters.
Solvent Recovery in Chemical & Coating Industries: Benzene, toluene, xylene, esters, ketones and alcohols vented from manufacturing represent both economic loss and regulatory liability. PL-380/480's ≥80% CTC value and stable desorption performance enable efficient cyclic adsorption-stripping operations, recovering valuable solvents for reuse.
Oil Vapor Recovery at Terminals: Gas stations and oil depots lose hydrocarbons through venting. PL-380/480's high adsorption capacity captures oil vapors with high recovery efficiency, meeting emission standards while reducing resource waste.
High-Concentration Organic Gas Treatment: Industrial processes generating concentrated VOC streams need core adsorption media with sufficient capacity to ensure compliant discharge. PL-380/480's large organic gas loading capacity handles heavy inlet loads with extended single-cycle operation.
Gas Purification & Catalyst Support: Deep purification of various industrial gases and support for gas-phase catalysts benefit from PL-380/480's high surface area and stable cylindrical structure.
High adsorption capacity and good desorption performance with high solvent recovery rate, suitable for industrial recycling production systems.
High-strength pellet structure maintains stable performance after multiple adsorption-desorption cycles with long overall service life.
Lower bed resistance than granular activated carbon of same specification reduces system operation energy consumption.
Strict production quality control with stable pore structure distribution ensures consistent adsorption effect of each batch.

Q: What is the main difference between PL-380 and P-80?
A: Both have CTC ≥80% and similar adsorption capacity. PL-380/480 adopts re-grinding extrusion process with higher mechanical strength and lower wear rate, more suitable for frequent regeneration solvent recovery systems. P-80 is direct extruded carbon with more competitive cost for conventional air purification. For coconut shell alternatives, consider PLC-370/PLC-470.
Q: What is the recommended regeneration temperature for PL-380?
A: For steam desorption, recommended temperature is 105–140°C, adjusted according to specific solvent boiling point. For thermal nitrogen regeneration, temperature can be increased appropriately. For top-tier regeneration performance, PL-390/PL-490 offers 90% CTC.
Q: Can PL-480 be used for large-air-volume waste gas?
A: PL-480 has 4mm diameter with low bed resistance, suitable for large-air-volume and high-concentration organic waste gas treatment systems. It can also be combined with pre-treatment equipment for better comprehensive effect.
