PL-360 460 Coal Pellet Activated Carbon - CTC 60% for VOC & Odor Treatment

PL-360 and PL-460 are upgraded high-strength coal-based pelletized activated carbons, produced through optimized activation process on the basis of PL basic series. With higher CTC adsorption value and stronger organic gas loading capacity, they are suitable for medium-load industrial VOC waste gas, odor and fume treatment scenarios requiring longer adsorption cycle.

Product Overview

Built on PL series high-strength forming technology, PL-360/PL-460 adopts deeper steam activation process to achieve more developed porous structure and higher adsorption capacity, with CTC value over 60%. They maintain the excellent high mechanical strength of PL series, resist abrasion and pulverization under long-term airflow, and keep stable bed pressure drop.

Available in 3mm (PL-360) and 4mm (PL-460) diameters, they are widely used in medium-load industrial waste gas treatment, odor control and ventilation purification systems, providing longer service life than basic grade pellet carbon.

Key Features

  • Upgraded Adsorption Capacity

20% higher organic gas loading capacity than basic PL-350/450 grade, longer single adsorption cycle and longer replacement interval.

  • High Strength Abrasion Resistance

Maintains complete pellet structure under long-term airflow scouring and frequent backwashing, low dust generation.

  • Optimized Pore Structure

Balanced micro and mesopore distribution, good adsorption effect on various common VOCs and odorous components.

  • Flexible Diameter Options

3mm (PL-360) and 4mm (PL-460) specifications available, adapts to different system air volume and resistance design.

Applications

  • Medium-Load Industrial VOC Treatment: Printing, coating, and electronics manufacturing generate organic waste gas containing hydrocarbons, benzene, and ester compounds. PL-360/460's ≥60% CTC value and high pellet strength deliver reliable organic vapor capture in continuous treatment systems, providing stable adsorption performance for medium-load emission streams.

  • Industrial Odor Control for Municipal Facilities: Chemical plants, sewage treatment plants, and waste transfer stations require long-term odor management. PL-360/460's balanced adsorption capacity and >90% mechanical strength support reliable continuous operation in demanding environments, maintaining stable bed integrity and consistent removal efficiency for complex industrial and municipal odor streams.

  • Oil Fume & Paint Spray Booth Exhaust Purification: Kitchen fume and paint spray booth exhaust contain oil mist and solvent vapors that demand continuous purification. The uniform 3 mm and 4 mm pellet structure of PL-360/460 maintains stable bed porosity and pressure drop characteristics, supporting extended operation cycles in fume collection and exhaust treatment units.

  • Workshop Ventilation & Laboratory Exhaust Treatment: Industrial workshops, public buildings, and laboratory environments require consistent indoor air quality improvement. PL-360/460's high-density coal pellet structure (440–480 kg/m³) and uniform particle size distribution maintain stable system performance over extended operation periods, ensuring predictable ventilation and exhaust treatment outcomes.

FAQ

Q: How much longer is the service life of PL-360 compared with PL-350?

A: Under same working conditions of medium-low concentration VOCs, PL-360 has about 15–20% higher adsorption loading capacity, extending replacement cycle accordingly. Actual life depends on pollutant concentration and air volume. For even longer life, PL-380/PL-480 offers 80% CTC.

Q: Is PL-360 suitable for solvent recovery systems?

A: PL-360 is mainly designed for waste gas treatment and odor control. For solvent recovery requiring high adsorption and desorption efficiency, we recommend PL-380/PL-480 or P-100 with higher CTC value.

Q: What is the difference between PL-360/460 and PL-350/450?

A: PL-360/460 has higher CTC (≥60% vs ≥50%) with stronger organic gas loading capacity and longer service life. PL-350/450 is the basic grade for light-load applications. For high-concentration recovery, consider PL-390/PL-490.
