Product Overview

Manufactured from selected high-quality bituminous coal through controlled carbonization and high-temperature steam activation, GAC develops a balanced pore structure that effectively removes free chlorine, taste and odor compounds, and dissolved organic matter from water. Its hard granular structure withstands repeated backwashing with low breakage, making it suitable for long-term operation in fixed-bed filter systems.

Available in standard 8×30 mesh and 12×40 mesh sizes, it fits most conventional pressure filter tanks and gravity filter systems without modification. With >900 mg/g iodine value and >900 m²/g BET surface area, it provides dependable adsorption performance for municipal water treatment plants, food processing facilities and general industrial water systems. It is also widely used as a cost-effective pretreatment media before reverse osmosis and ultrapure water systems.
